Piston Compressors are the oldest and most common type of air compressor used across all industries for numerous applications. They use a principle of displacement to increase the pressure of drawn-in gas or air. There are various types available in differing sizes being either oil lubricated or oil-free that can be used to compress air, nitrogen or helium. Pressure ranges available up to 420 bar (6000psi).
